In the current scenario of Malabar we must look with the intelligence of love and with wise realism at the reality of the family today, in all its complexity, and in its lights and shadows. Mental health issues has become common in our society. Mental disorders, such as depression and alcohol use problems, are major public health problems in India. Suicide is a major cause of death, especially in young adults and in rural areas. Mental health has for decades been low in the priority of health planners at state and central levels and this is well reflected in the quantity and quality of mental health services in India. CAMP view the human person as made in the image and likeness of God. We believe that a good model of mental health must necessarily include the spiritual aspect of the human person. The goal of therapy is to re-integrate man as a physical, rational, emotional, and spiritual being. CAMP activities have included treatment, rehabilitation, community care, research, training and capacity building, awareness and lobbying.

Neurotic and stress related disorders and Depression are common mental disorders in Kerala. Mental health problems constitute a diverse set of diseases and conditions which require varied approaches to addressing different kinds of problems. People face huge issues with mental health, stigma remains a huge barrier to people receiving the care and attention they need.
